Abstract

A flood barrier comprising a fibreglass panel to be fixed directly to an external wall by bolts or screws (or equiv), the barrier having a rubber stick gel resin strip to create a seal under the panel or between two barriers mounted in the same vicinity. There may be a central moulded column and two central boxes located on the back of the panel and two horizontal columns to make the frame rigid and withstand the rushing water. The panel may be formed from a moulded sheet of fibreglass and it may be wider than the width of the door or window frame. The rubber seal can be used to create a seal between the panel and any uneven ground located beneath the flood barrier, it can also be used to create a seal between two flood barriers that are placed one above the other in a stacked arrangement to create a taller barrier.

Description

Flood Prevention Barrier flood prevention barrier Analysis The water board relates to a device for preventing water seepage into Homes and business premises, there are many current ways to prevent flooding from sand bags to the large metal structures used by the Government last year in the floods to contain overflowing rivers affecting many parts of the country.
However there are very few examples of private water barriers for the public to attach to there homes, the water board is specifically designed to provide households with a re-useable easy to use barrier to protect their homes.
Bibliographic Data The Water Board comprises of a fiberglass rectangular molded panel which can be temporarily bolted to wall sockets surrounding window and door frames. The panel has a vacuum molding to allow for the rim to be used as a sealant cover to the wall and floor. The outer rim can be used as a connecting slot to add a second barrier above the original. The water board use is for water prevention or floods.
Description
SPECI FICATION
Water board The invention is in conjunction with creating a water protection barrier to be temporarily bolted to residential and business properties to protect from water damage at access points such as window and doors the panel is bolted onto the external wall through sockets drilled into the property. The vacuumed panel's outer rim is flatto the wall to provide a seal to the building and floor.
The panel frame comprises of a molded sheet of fiberglass set to a specifically designed mould to overlap the standard width of residential properties window and door frames. The design of the framed panel can be adjusted to the specific design of any property or business premise through specially designed moulds for the client's parameters.
The design of the water board comprises of a central column 3Ocm's in width with two small central blocked in rectangle boxes 2Ocm's in depth to provide strength for the mould and a cross section to the back allowing the fiberglass sheet to be molded which includes a horizontal column 2Ocm's in depth going into and across the lower central block rectangle covering the length of the frame width wise to provide strength throughout the structure. There is also another 90 degree angled column 20cm from the top of the frame to provide the strength needed at the top to make the frame rigid to withstand rushing water. The vacuumed mould has two columned indentations horizontally and one central vertical column. The panel is designed for even ground however can indude a rubber stick gel resin strip for uneven grounds allowing a wider use on various ground types, this can also be administered between two barriers in the same vicinity.
The product is easy to use and can be erected onto a property in minutes providing the operator has the specific tools to remove from storage and place onto the external walls of any property or premise. The frame is relatively light weight and can be carried easily into position.
Description of invention
According to the invention the use is for water prevention from any flood or water pipe leakages for the use in windows and doorways. The structure is made from a fibre glass mould in one part which has a specific 3D mould with a central column and two horizontal columns providing strength to the frame. There are no other parts except for the bolts to attach the panel to any external wall; the panel 3.
is to overlap a standard door frame. The dimensions for the product are 1 3Ocm's width by lO5cm's in depth. There is a second fibre glass mould designed for the standard window size of l5Ocm's width by 140cm in depth. The design is completely made from any dimensions specifically requested by clients and molded to any need required. The idea of the design is to create a range of different sized moulds to any specific design from any client. The product can be used externally or internally for any use.
Description of Design
The principle of the design is shown in the drawings provided.
Fig. 1 shows the front view with one complete section with a central vertical column and two horizontal columns molded into the frame.
Fig. 2 shows the back of the product showing the description of the central column and the two structural rectangle boxes in conjunction with the horizontal columns. This also provides the perspective of the depth and how the outer rim works as a sealant to the ground and external wall.
Building the Design Primarily the design is made from specifically designed moldings to manufacture wood patterns to produce GRP moulds from moulds, manufacture panels using polyester gel coat overlaid with fibreglass matting impregnated with resin.

Claims (4)

  1. Claims I Claim: 1. A Flood or water leakage protective barrier for preventing water into the property or premise in which the barrier comprises a gel fiberglass panel to extend the door or window frame to be fixed onto an external wall or surface. The panel is bolted or screwed into place with specifically located wall sockets drilled into the external wall or surface. The barrier sits on level ground for complete protection, however can include a rubber stick gel resin strip for uneven grounds to the base for added protection on various ground types or between two barriers mounted in the same vicinity of each other.
  2. 2. A Flood or water leakage protective barrier in accordance to claim 1 in which the barrier comprises a panel frame and extending beyond the periphery of the frame so as to cover a window or door opening when the frame is installed.
  3. 3. A Flood or water leakage protective barrier in accordance with claims I to 2, the panel can seat a second frame directly above depending on the height of the water providing extra protection for the property.
  4. 4. A Flood or water leakage protective barrier according to any of claims I to 3, in which said panel comprises of fibre glass sheeting or any similar materials.
