Abstract

Transformers. - The couplings m between an oil immersed transformer and the cables leading thereto are enclosed in an oil-filled casing a having a readily detachable cover k. The cableends are sealed with insulating compound in a chamber g connected to, but not communicating with, the casing a, while the transformer box b has no communication or only valvecontrolled communication with the casing a. The insulators c, i are sealed into the partitions h, h<1>. The oil is withdrawn from the casing a through a plug. The cables and chamber g can be disconnected after detaching the couplings m, or, if the partition h<1> forms part of the box b, the casing a may be slid away from the box b on guides.
