Abstract
A handle cover for a push chair, wheel chair or walking stick for example, to protect the user's hands against meteorological conditions. The cover is preferably constructed from wind resistant, waterproof and/or flexible material, with the internal fabric is preferably warm. The cover may be formed as an elongated structure, where at least one end of the structure is adjustable to allow the cover to fit different sized handles, preferably the adjustable means may be an elasticated area. The cover may also have fastenings to allow the easy attachment/detachment of the cover. The shape of the cover may vary to accommodate various shapes of differing handles.

Hand shield / handle cover
This invention relates to an adjustable handle cover that protects ones hands. It can be easily attach to a variety of handlebars. The adjustment range for attachment circumference is from 4cm to 12cms.
When people go out walking during the winter we generally wear gloves to keep our hands warm some people wear mittens. For some people this option may not give adequate protection to diverse meteorological conditions. There are several scenarios this product could provide a solution and ensure that the user's hands are kept warm and dry. I have given a few examples below.
Scenario one:
Ramblers walk what ever the weather good or bad. This cover can be easily attached to a walking stick to give maximum protection.
Scenario two •
Parents push a range of products listed below. Parents generally have to be out in all weathers for their children ... Pram handlebar or separate handles: A Child's car, trike and bike. An extended long handle bar this gives control to the Parent. Wheel chair handles giving hand protection Pusher. (Normally the Carer) a variation of the hand shield could be adapted for user of the wheel chair, adapting it on to the arms of the main body of the chair.
Scenario three:
Generally a person using a shopping trolley may use gloves but, the hands still encounter the harsh weather, resulting in the hand having to be warmed up before the shopping is unloaded from the trolley.
Scenario four:
Dog walkers, generally pet owners need to go out during the bad seasons to walk their dogs. The covcr can offer flexi protection against the elements.
To overcome all potential problems as stated above, the present invention has slight variations, to accommodate various shapes of the differing handles, aiming to give maximum protection to the users' hands. This product acts as a barrier against harsh elements.
The main advantage of this product is its ability to give maximum protection to hands against diverse meteorological conditions. Protection against a wide range of meteorological conditions includes...wind, rain, frost, snow, ice, sleet, and last but not least the cold. This cover can be used in conjunction with gloves or on its own the cover has the added quality of being flexible to give either maximum or minimum protection. The product has the added bonus of its flexibility, easy of use and applicability to a wide range of handles. (Walking sticks, walking pole, hiking rod, push chairs, prams wheel chairs, shopping trolleys and finally leads)
Preferably, the lining has to be tactile and have the aesthetic qualities for the user. Preferably, the external fabric should appear to be lightweight, possibly flexible, and have resistant qualities to the elements.
Preferably, the fastening should be easily adaptable to a range of 4cm to 12 cm circumference.
