Abstract
243,635. Wollaston, H. J. Buchanan-. June 20, 1925. Cleats.-A clip for securing the ends of string &c. comprises a flat piece of metal b with tongues a<1>, a<2> pressed out leaving holes c', c<2> in which the string is gripped. The sides of the holes are pressed in as shown in dotted lines to prevent the tongues being drawn through. In a modification the piece of metal has projections d<1>, d<2>, Fig. 2, bent around a loop of wire e; or the wire may be S-shaped as shown in Fig. 3. A split tube may be passed over the device and the ends of the strings for further security, and the ends of the tube may be sharpened to cut string.
