Books with tear-out portions; carbon parpers, arrangements of.- A manifolding sales'-book consists of a number of superposed leaves bound at one side into a stub to form a pad, with a number of other sheets attached together and attached to the bound leaves outside and adjacent to the stub, and a carbon sheet or sheets supported at a side other than the bound side at a height substantially equal to the height of the pad. As shown in Fig. 1, triplicate leaves 3 bound in a stub 4 by staples 5 have original and duplicate leaves 1, 2 consisting of a single sheet folded upon itself at 6, detachably attached to a point 7 free from the stub 4. Transfer sheets 12, 13, which are adapted to be interleaved between the record sheets, are attached to a stub 11 formed upon the back 9 of the book at the end opposite the stub 4. Additional transfer sheets 14, 15, with protective tissue sheets 16, 17, may be bound within an intermediate portion of the stub 11. The triplicate leaves 3 are each provided with a detachable extension 10, which is bound within the stub 11. In a modification, detachable sheets 21, 22, Fig. 2, of each set of sheets are attached to the bound sheet 23 at the lower end 24, instead of at the top end. In this form one carbon sheet 25 may be bound within a stub 26 at the bound end of the sheets 23, the other carbon sheet 27 being bound within the auxiliary stub 28. The ends 29 of the bound sheets 23 are also bound in the auxiliary stub. Either of the foregoing constructions mav be provided with auxiliary tissue sheets attached on any or all of the record sheets, additional transfer sheets being attached where necessary on the end stubs.
