Manually-actuated multiple-way valves. - A valve device for a hot and cold water supply comprises a casing having a mixing chamber with a discharge opening and having a number of separate inlet passages leading to separate concentric valve seats wherein one valve, is coupled directly with the operating member and all of the valves are coupled with one another through lost-motion devices. A central valve 14 controlling a cold-water inlet 2 is operated by a spindle 13 screwing in an outer spindle 11 which is cup-shaped at its inner end 19 to take an annular valve 12 controlling a hot-water inlet 3 and is screwed in the valve casing cover 9. The inner spindle 13 has an arm 17 with screw heads 18 engaging slots in the cup-shaped portion 19 of the outer spindle to give a lost-motion connection so that the central cold-water valve 14 is finst opened, then the hot-water annular valve 12 is opened and finally the cold water is shut off by a head 28, formed on the central valve, seating on the other end 5 of the tubular inlet valve seat member 4. Stuffing-boxes 22, 22a are fitted between the inner and outer spindles and the casing cover 9. The annular valve 12 is secured to the cup-shaped spindle by a loose ring 24 so as to be rotatable thereon to prevent undue wear. The fluids mix in a chamber 12a and are discharged therefrom through an outlet.
