Gear-wheels, grinding and trueing teeth of. - A machine for grinding gear-wheels, spline shafts, &c., consists of a bed a having thereon a reciprocating work-table, comprising two parts b, c, with their intermediate surface d inclined slightly to the horizontal. The upper part h may be adjusted vertically by sliding it along the lower part c by means of a screw f and nut e. The part b carries headstocks g, h for supporting the work, the headstock g having combined with it a dividing-head. At one end of the lower part c is provided a trimming-mechanism! i for the grinding-wheel j, the wheel being carried by a verticallyadjustable slide k.
