Abstract

The application describes a method of fixing a dissolved greenhouse gas into organic carbon compounds by exposing them to submerged iron-steel metal objects. The method relies on the release of energy from the submerged metal objects.

Description

FIXING CARBON DIOXIDE INTO ORGANIC CARBON COMPOUNDS
The invention of this application is to utilise all green house gases in order to combat climate change.
It is proposed to utilise all green house gasses especially carbon dioxide emitted by fossil fuel burning power stations.
These converted gases are essential to the base of the aquatic food chain i.e the conversion of inorganic carbon to organic carbon compounds.
It has been proposed by various industries to capture carbon dioxide at places where fossil fuels are used or processed on a large scale and then storing these captured green house gases underground, or beneath the sea, storing carbon dioxide in this way could massively reduce emmissions. Most uncertainties concern its long term effectiveness and safety.
My proposals eradicate these uncertainties by converting this underground storage of carbon dioxide into organic carbon compounds and oxygen.
The combination of carbon dioxide pumped into underground water bodies combined with the said metals iron-steel, causes a chemical reaction where-by the dissolved carbon dioxide is converted into organic carbon compounds namely carbohydrates.
It is also proposed that any of the above named water bodies can be transferred to land and underground tunnels where by these waters containing the said submerged metals will be transformed into a rich nutritious soup which is of great importance to all plant life, namely plantonic vegetation.
My aquation for the above process is Carbon dioxide( Co2) + water (H20) + iron-steel = carbohydrates (1120) + oxygen (02) This is the first time anyone has recognized and explained / described a conversion of inorganic carbon dioxide into organic carbon compounds, hence the unresolved climate change problems caused by the build up of these gases in the atmosphere.
All that is required to bring about this transformation of carbon dioxide into organic carbon compounds, is a source of available energy, this energy source is released from the said submerged metal objects when combined with these dissolved greenhouse gases i.e Carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, these dissolved gasses when combined with the said submerged metals will be transformed into valuable iron salts and carbohydrates which will be absorbed by aquatic microorganisms at the base of the aquatic food chain.
There is a process in nature namely photosynthesis where by carbon dioxide and water plus sunlight are fixed into carbohydrate and oxygen, the process of photosynthesis is not a well understood subject, and man's ultimate aim in this field must be to imitate this process in a controlled manner, it has, however proved to be an extraordinarly complex process, chemists have not yet succeeded in carrying out this process, which is due to their being unable to supply energy in so available a form as that in which the plant obtains it from sunlight.
These problematic green house gasses are essential to the release of the required energy in order to bring about the transformation of inorganic carbon to organic carbon compounds.
The process described above is essential to approximately ninety per cent of carbon assimilation on earth carried out by aquatic micro-organisms i. e fixed carbon dioxide.
I request a patent to convert problematic green house gasses into organic compounds and therefore into the aquatic food chain whereby these substances will be absorbed by the aquatic life therein.

  3. 3 A method according to claim 1 wherein the metal is iron-steel.
  4. 4 A method according to any of the proceeding claims wherein the dissolved green house gasses in combination with the said metals submerged in water bodies leads to the production. Of iron sheets and carbohydrate plus oxygen.
  5. A method according to claim 1 whereby the transformation of dissolved carbon dioxide into organic carbon compounds is only made possible by the presence of the said submerged metal objects which in turn release a perpetual source of available energy which is required to bring about this vital transformation essential to the aquatic food chain and also the problem of climate change.
  6. 6 A method according to any of the proceeding claims, where by there will be no release of energy from the said submerged metal objects if the said waters be free from any trace of green house gases/C02 thereby no fixation of carbon dioxide to organic carbon compounds can take place. A by product of this chemical reaction is oxygen. This chemical reaction is vital to microorganisms at the base of the aquatic food chain.
