Mattresses.-A spring mattress comprises helical springs a, clips b connecting the outer convolutions of said springs at diametrically opposite points, and springs c disposed between and having their ends firmly held by the clips. The interconnecting springs c may be in a continuous length, Fig. 3, having helices formed thereon at'suitable intervals, and those in the upper surface of the mattress may be arranged at right angles to those in the lower surface.
