Abstract

Clamps, pivoted-jaw. -A clamp for gripping a flat piece of leather comprises a base-plate 1 secured to a bench and a clamping plate 4 pivoted to the baseplate, the plates having plain gripping surfaces and being pressed together by an eccentric lever 9. The lever 9 bears upon a projection 11 on the base-plate and has a notch 12 to limit its movement away from the plates.
