Description

1 241 3305 Ring Binder Support Clip The invention relates to a supporting

clip that fits onto the edge of A4 ring binders enabling them to be stored on shelves together and with other items more efficiently Due to their wedge shape In plan these dinners tend to ''e unevenly on shelves with other books falling behind through the gaps. Binders cannot be laid flat on a desk more than one high without sliding and falling off each other. Even when completely full which does not often happen, they are still uneven.

The purpose of this invention Is to make the binder square' not wedge' shaped.

allowing it to hold its form on shelves and not fall into or create gaps also allowing stacking if laid flat.

This invention is a clip-on attachment with angled arms that supports the back of the binder ensuring it is square regardless of the binder contents The clip would be made out of heat moulded plastic of approximately 1 mm thickness, it could also me made of metal, making it stronger but cheaper.

A preferred embodiment of the Invention will now be described In reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1, 2 and 3 shows three orientations of the invention.

FIGURE 4 shows the invention in-situ on a ring binder.

As shown in figures 1 to 4 the clip comprises a flat sheet of material folded parallel off centre with the middle section folded back over Itself to form a clip and the two outer sections folded at an angle e.g. 45 degrees to form supporting arms.

Figure 4 shows the placing of the clip on the centre of the front cover of the ring binder with the clip holding it in place and the angled arms supporting the folder.

Claims

1. A re-useable formed clip with supporting arms that clips onto a ring binder, holding it partially open, thus allowing easier stacking, storage etc

2. A clip with attached supports/arms giving spacing to a ring binder or similar Tlle/Tolaer.

3 A clip made from metal or plastic or a combination of these materials.

4 A clip similar in design/purpose as herein described and Illustrated in accompanying drawings.

Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows _ A, it _ 1 A re-useable clip for partially spacing apart the covers of a ring binder comprising a portion that clips on to an edge of one of the covers and a pair of supporting arms that extend from the said portion at an angle to hutt against the inside face of the other cover of the binder and thus hold the binder parbaily open and square-shaped 2 A clip as claimed in claim 1 that allows the binder to be opened and used without the removal of the clip

3. A clip as claimed in any preceding claim made from metal or plastic or a combination of these materials 4 A clip as claimed in any,orecedng claim that can be read,iy customised to display corporate colours, logs and information.
