Tools.-In a turret tool-holder for a mortising or like machine, the brackets f<1> - - f<4> for the various tools are rigidly mounted on the turret f, which is itself mounted on a boss a<1> formed on a supporting plate a and arranged eccentrically to the driving shaft c, which carries spur and bevel pinions d, e, so as to drive a chain cutter or a boring tool. The plate a is provided with studs a<2> adapted to engage in recesses in the turret, a hand wheel k being provided, by means of which the turret can be drawn out clear of the studs so that it may be rotated, by a hand wheel i carried on bolts h, to bring any tool required into the driving position.
