Abstract

240,368. Donaghy, E. June 4, 1925. Spring wheels. - The resilient ring 1 inserted between the tyre rim 2 and felloe 3 of a wheel is secured by removable retaining rings 4, 5, 6, 7, having inwardly projecting flanges adapted to engage grooves in the tyre rim 2 and felloe 3 of the wheel, respectively, the rings being held in position by bolts 8 passing through sleeves 9 in the ring 1. The sleeves 9 may be serrated on their outer sides to grip the rubber of the ring 1 to which they may be vulcanized. In a modification, the rings 4, 6 at the inner side of the wheel, are replaced by flanges which are formed on the tyre rim and felloe respectively.
