Abstract

A vehicle mounted progressive deceleration warning system includes an additional warning lamp utilising a different coloured light to that emitted by a conventional system. When a slight braking force is generated the conventional warning lights operate normally. When a severe braking force is generated the additional warning light is activated, alongside the conventional display, but emitting a second separate colour.

Description
The Dual Brake Warning System (DBWS) is a simple but very effective device, which will probably half the number vehicles having 'Rear end' collisions. It is so easy to run into back of other vehicle that has braked very hard.
The existing process indicates the 'Red' lights, when the brake pedal is used, but you cannot differentiate between 'Slight' braking to slow down and 'Hard' braking to stop.
Our Dual Brake Warning System is to split the brake lights asfollows: À Slight braking - when the brake pedal is pressed to slow down sets on the 'Red brake lights '.
Hard braking- When the brake pedal is pushedfurther down to stop, the second Blue (or any contrasting colour) brake lights' illuminates to warn the driver behind that vehicle is going to stop. Claim

Claims (1)

  1. The vehicle safety is of paramount importance to both the driver and the
    manufacturer.
    Excellent safety features also help to sell a product.
    Currently, we have different types of safety on a vehicle: À Air bags -for the driver's protection.
    À Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) À Antilock Braking System (ABS) But we do NOT have any protection from the 'Rear end ' collisions and over 50% the Accidents are classified in this category.
    We sincerely believe that the famous saying 'Prevention is better than the cure' applies to our proposed 'Dual Brake Warning System' and it will help to reduce the rear end accidents.
