Abstract

238,337. Caldwell, S. B. June 24, 1924. Wave energy, utilizing.-A wave motor comprises a float 11 disposed in a cylinder 10 axially adjustable in a cylinder 8 disposed in a sea wall having a duct 7. The adjusting means comprise gearing 18, 15 and a worm screw 14, and the float rod' 12 carries a cable 23 which passes around a sheave 24 serving to drive a shaft 29 through a clutch.
