Abstract

A blind has an upper rail 21 for fixed mounting, a movable middle beam 23 and a movable lower beam 25, the blind being mounted between the middle and lower beams. The blind may be slatted (figure 2), concertina folded (figure 5) or sequentially folded (figure 6). The middle and upper beams are independently movable to allow the blind to be position to cover an upper or lower portion of a window as well as any intermediate position. The front of the upper beam has two holes 211, 211', and two holes 212 in its base, through which control cords 27,28 pass. The middle beam has two holes 231 in its upper surface and two holes 232 in its lower surface to attach cords to control its position, and to allow to pass through the cords which control the lower beam. In the case of the slatted blind, the lower surface has a third set of holes 232 to allow for the cord which controls the ladder tape 26 for tilting the slats 24.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Please refer to Fig. 2. The present invention includes a fixed upper beam 21, two fixing devices 22,22', a movable beam 23, several slats 24, a lower beam 25, two or more ladder strings 26, a lower
pull cord 27 and an upper pull cord 28. The fixed upper beam 21 is . P I I u I I zi fixed on upper side of a door or a window. Two sides of front face of the upper beam are respectively formed with a through hole 211, 211'and equipped with the fixing devices 22, 22'. Two sides of the bottom are respectively formed with a through hole 212. The upper faces of two sides of the movable beam 23 are respectively formed with a through hole 231 and the lower faces of two sides thereof are respectively formed with three through holes 232. The movable beam 23 is disposed under the upper beam 21. Several slats 24 are sequentially arranged under the movable beam 23 at equal intervals.
The centers of two sides of the slats 24 are formed with passing holes 241. The lower beam 25 is disposed under the lowermost slat 24. Two sides of top face are respectively formed with a circular hole 251. The ladder strings 26 are wound and passed through two sides of the slats 24 and the lower beam 25. or a window for shielding the same, the door or window can be entirely
shielded or opened without shielding. Alternatively, the upper p tD portion, lower portion or middle portion of the door or window can be selectively shielded at any height in accordance with the I requirement.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above structure applicable to various kinds of curtains. When shielding the door or window with the blind (folding curtain or movable curtain), the height and position of the door or window to be shielded can be freely selected as desired. The use of the blind is not limited to the shielding from upper side to lower side.
The door or window can be shielded from lower side to upper side or only shielded at the middle.
The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein: BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional blind, showing the use thereof ; Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention; Fig. 3 shows the use of the present invention in one state; Fig. 4 shows the use of the present invention in another state; Fig. 5 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the present invention;

the door or the window is entirely shielded. In the case that the lower beam 25 is loosened and positioned at the lowermost position or near the lowermost position and the upper pull cord 28 is further loosened, the movable beam 23 is moved downward. At this time, the slats 24 will be gradually collected and stacked on the lower beam 25. When the movable beam 23 is moved to the middle or a certain height and fixed, there is no shield between the upper beam 21 and the movable beam 23 and only a shield exists between the movable beam 23 at the middle and the lower beam 25 at or near the lowermost position. That is, the lower portion of the door or the window is shielded or only the middle portion of the door or the window is shielded, while the upper and lower portions thereof are opened.
In addition, when changing the angle of the slats 24, a user only needs to slightly downward pull the lower beam 25 and then directly turn the lower beam 25 to the desired angle. At this time, the slats 24 connected with the lower beam 25 will be also driven and turned by the angle.
Fig. 5 shows another embodiment of the present invention, which is applied to a folding curtain. The embodiment includes a fixed upper beam 31, two fixing devices 32,32', a movable beam 33, a folding curtain 34, a lower beam 35, a lower pull cord 37 and an upper pull cord 38. The fixed upper beam 31 is fixed on upper side of a door or a window.
