Bodies. - The floor of a motor coach &c. body, shown in cross-section in Fig. 2, consists of transverse boards 6 laid directly on the chassis frame 7. The overhanging ends are connected by longitudinal bracing members 8. Horizontal transverse bracing members 11, Fig. 4, are placed between adjacent boards 6 at intervals along the floor. The side pillars 15, which support the passenger seats S, are rabbeted to the ends of the members 11. The seat-supporting bars 17 are fitted into the pillars 15.
