Proofing against vermin; proofing compositions.-Higher fatty acids or salts of higher fatty acids, which form colloidal solutions in water are added to solutions of toxic agents used for proofing woollen materials against moths to facilitate the wetting or impregnation of the material under treatment. Gelatine may be added as a stabilizing agent and also a small quantity of free organic acid. In an example, the solution contains sodium fluoride, sodium oleate, gelatine and citric acid.
