Abstract
234,988. Frank, L. May 26, 1924. Hand bags.-A hand bag pro. vided with a closing flap has a hook-like part provided on the flap adapted to engage over or on to an edge or other part of the bag. In the form shown the larger arm of the hook 4 is slidably held within the flap 2 by elastic 3, the hook being adapted to engage a recess 9 formed in a reinforcing plate 8 applied to the edge of the bag. The end of the hook is turned outwardly at 10 to facilitate disengagement, and stops may be provided to prevent lateral movement of the hook. The flap may be of the kind provided with opening or closing springs, and the hook may be formed as part of one of the springs.
