Abstract

A cover for a radial arm type rotary washing line has a top 1, openable sides with vents 9, and a base with a rotary block 13 attached to the main support pole and having arms 10 to which the bottom corners of the sides are attached. The top may have a central tube (3, Fig 2) which fits over the top of the main support pole and straps (5) at the corners for fitting to the arms. The sides also fit to the arms by straps (7) and are in two parts detachable by a zip or hook-and-loop fastener. A stabiliser bar 11 runs along the bottom of each side panel.

Description

ROTARY WEATHRGUARD THIS INVENTION IS A TWO PART RAIN COVER FOR ROTARY WASHING LINES.
THE BOTTOM COVER IS VENTED FO AIR FLOW.
THE COVERS PROTECT THE WASHINIG FROM SUDDEN RAINFALL, SO THE USER CAN GO ABOUT THEIR DAILY DUTIES WITHOUT UNDUE WORRY ABOUT WEATHER CONDITIONS THE INVENTION BEING IN TWO PART, IE THE BOTTOM COVER BEING VERTICALITY FASTENED AT TWO POINTS, IT CAN BE OPENED FOR ITEMS OF CLOTHING TO BE REMOVED IF REQUIRED URGENTLY WITHOUT EXPOSING THE OTHER GARMENTS TO THE RAIN.
THE WEATHERGUARD IS MADE OF PLASTIC SHEETING, METAL FIXING BARS AND NYLON MATERIALS.
FIGURE 1 SHOWS THE VIEW OF THE TWO COVERS COMPLETING THE ALL ROUND WEATHERGUARD 1 ALSO SHOWN IS THE DOWN ANGLED AIR VENT HOLES 9 FIGURE 2 TOP VIEW OF WEATHERGUARD 2 THE CENTRE TUBE 3 FITS ON THE ARMS TO ALLOW ROTATING MOVEMENT AND EXTRA HEIGHT FOR WATER RUN OFF EYELETS 4 THESE ARE POSITIONED AT THE CORNER ENDS FOR THE RUBBER HOLDING STRAPS 5 THE EXTRA A EYLETS ARE FOR ADJUSTING TENSION.
FIGURE 3 SHOWS BOTTOM COVER IT OPENS AT TWO CORNERS BY THE WAY OF PLASTIC ZIPS OR VELCRO 8 AND PRESS STUDS 14 BY REMOVING THE RUBBER FIXING RINGS 7 CAN BE EITHER FOLDED BACK OR TAKEN OFF COMPLETELY ALSO SHOWN 9 ARE DOWN ANGLED PERFORATED VENT HOLES TO ALLOW FOR AIR FLOW.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM 1 THE ROTARY WEATHERGUARD IS A WATERPROOF COVER FOR A EXISTING ROTARY LINE, It IS MADE UP OF TWO MAIN COVERS.
    THE TOP COVER IS FITTED OVER A CENTRE TUBE THAT IS PLACED ONTO THE EXISTING CENTRE POLE GIVING EXTRA ELEVATION.
    THERE ARE RUBBER STRAPS ? N THE FOUR CORNERS THAT SECURE TO THE EXISTING ARMS.
    THE BOTTOM COVER HAS EIGHT RUBBER SECURING STRAPS THAT ALSO SECURE TO THE FOUR ARMS AT THE BOTTOM IT IS SECURED WITH STABILISERS VHICH ARE CONNECTED TO A ROTARY BLOCK, THE ROTARY BLOCK IS FITTED TO THE EXISTING CENTRE POLE, THIS ALLOWS FREE ROTATION AND STABILITY.
    THERE ARE AIR VENTS WITH ANGLED HOLES IN THE BOTTOM COVER TO ALLOW AIRFLOW A9D ALSO A WATER RUN OFF.
