Abstract

A rotary drier canopy which allows washing to dry outside when it is raining and also offers some protection against airborne dirt particles. The canopy is raised at the three corners allowing a drainage angle so that rainwater drains to the centre of the drier pole and then down to the ground. The canopy has side flaps which help to give protection from side-blown rain. These flaps can be pulled up when washing is put on the lines then pulled down again and the corners sealed together with Velcro (R.T.M.)

Description

THREE ARMED ROTARY DRIER CANOPY This invention relates to a three armed rotary drier canopy.
Rotary clothes driers have been used for many years to hang washing outside in a compact area. The rotary drier canopy allowa washing to dry outside when it is raining and also offers some protection against airborne dirt particles.
According to the present invention there is provided a three armed rotary clothes drier waterproof canopy which is raised at the three corners allowing a drainage angle so that rainwater drains to the centre of the drier pole and then down to the ground. The canopy has side flaps which help to give protection from side-blown rain. These flaps can be placed up when washing is put on the lines, then pulled down down again and the corners sealed together with velcro
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the canopy placed over opened rotary drier as viewed from the top.
Figure 2 shows the canopy viewed from the top but with reference numbers Figure 3 illustrates the metal angled riser hook to be attached to each of the three corners of the rotary drier.
Referring to the drawing the three armed rotary drier canopy comprises a waterproof canopy 14 that covers the top of an opened rotary clothes drier. The canopy is fitted to the drier by way of a centre rubber ring 11, centre ties 12 and a rubber ring 16 on each of the three corners. The corner rings are placed on metal riser hooks Fig 3 which allows room for clearance of clothes pegs and for drainage angle. The canopy has sewn-in elastic 13 along the top three edges and plastic struts 19 for strength and tension. There are waterproof side flaps 15 that hang down on three sides for extra protection, beinq weiqhted down along the bottom edges
17 and Velcrostrips 18 to keep the flaps together.

Claims (1)

1. A three armed rotary clothes drier waterproof canopy which is raised at the three corners allowing a drainage angle so that rainwater drains to the centre of the drier pole and then down to the ground. The canopy has side flaps which help to give protection from side-blown rain. These flaps can be placed up when washing is put on the lines then pulled down again and the corners sealed together with Velcro
