Abstract
232,480. Gibbons Bros., Ltd., and Marle, M. van. Aug. 22, 1924. Bricks and tiles, special shapes of.-A brick or tile for use in constructing muffle walls is formed with a peripheral frame portion 1 having shallow tongues 3 or grooves 2 on all four edges for engagement with adjacent bricks and a corrugated panel portion 4 of relatively small thickness through which the heat is transmitted to the interior of the muffle. The brick is longer than it is broad, and the corrugation runs transversely. The width of the frame portion is less than the thickness of the brick. In building the muffle, the bricks are preferably arranged with the corrugations vertical. Specification 17361/99 is referred to.
