Enlarging, copying, and reducing.-In apparatus in which direct and reflected light are employed, such for example as described in Specication 222,431, the light chamber 1 is slidably mounted on vertical standards 2, each standard being in two parts hinged at 29 so that, after releasing catches 28, the upper parts carrying the projecting elements may be swung down to rest on a support on the base 3 in position for horizontal projection. The standards may be hollow, and enclose weights for counterbalancing the chamber 1. The lens panel 13, to which the lens 17 may be fitted either at the front or at the rear, is moved up and down the standards 2 by rack and pinion gearing 14, 15. A shutter 9 or. the light cham. her closes an aperture through which a holder carrying the negative &c. may be inserted. The electric lamps in the chamber are controlled by a rheostat 21 and switches on the base 3.
