Abstract

A tray 3 for a pushchair can be secured to the frame 4 of the pushchair by releasable securing devices such as clips, clamps, catches, etc 5 or directly to fixing points on the frame so that the tray can be easily removed. When not in use the tray may be fixed to another part of the pushchair, eg the rear (figure 2). The tray may be foldable to allow the pushchair to be folded with the tray attached.

Description

PUSHCHAIR t BUGGY ACCESSORY This invention relates to a pushchair / buggy accessory.

Parasols, sunshades and rain covers are commonly available accessories which can be purchased for pushchairs I buggies, and which attach to the frame of the buggy or pushchair.

There is no accessory available which could be attached to the frame in a similar manner to be used as a food I play tray.

The invention is a food / play tray which can be attached to the frame of a buggy or pushchair by means of clips, catches, clamps or any other securing device which allows for easy removal; the buggy may even be manufactured to have fixing points integral to its frame. When not required, or in transit, it is possible that the tray could be affixed to some other part of the frame, for example, to the rear of the buggy, in the same or in a similar manner.

It is also possible that the tray could be designed to fold up with some types of folding buggy / pushchair whilst still attached; for example, a tray which is collapsible or which folds into itself or a tray which is made up of more than one part, or which uses hinges or some other device which allows the tray to fold with the buggy. Alternatively the tray could be manufactured so that it is flexible, for example by being made of some kind of flexible plastic or fabric or any other kind of flexible material.

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with a folding-type buggy (although the invention could be suitable for many other types of buggy or pushchair), and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective, the buggy with the tray in position; Figure 2 shows in perspective the buggy from the rear and illustrates one possible means for transporting the tray when not in use, or in transit.

Referring to Figure 1, the tray 3 is secured to the frame 4 of the buggy by clips, catches, clamps or any other securing device 5 which allows for easy removal of the tray. The buggy may be manufactured to have fixing points integral to its frame.

When not required, or in transit, the tray 3 may be removed and secured in the same or in a similar manner to another part of the frame 4, for example, as in Figure 2, to the rear frame of the buggy.

Claims

1 A food I play tray which can be attached to the frame of a buggy or pushchair by means of clips, catches, clamps or any other securing device which enables the tray to be removed easily.

2 A food I play tray as claimed in Claim 1 which may be attached to a buggy whose fixing points (ie the buggy's) are integral to its frame.

3 A food / play tray as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 whereby the tray may be removed from the frame when not required or in transit, and secured to another part of the frame in the same or in a similar manner.

4 A food / play tray as claimed in Claim 1. Claim 2 or Claim 3 which could be designed to fold up with some kinds of folding buggies / pushchairs whilst still attached.
