Abstract

A system of flexible pipes 4 and brackets 2,3 allow a radiator 1 to be swung away from a wall without disconnecting from a heating system. A set of top brackets 2 hold the radiator vertical when locked. The radiator can be released from the top brackets and pivoted about a set of bottom brackets 3 away from a wall and can be held by a chain 6.

Description

Freefitll Central Heating Radiator and Accessories The basic idea is to provide a means of gaining access behind a central heating radiator for decorating or cleaning.
Using this method the radiator does not need to be drained off and removed.
If used on an existing system the copper pipe from the valve to near the floor is removed and replaced with a special flexible pipe, and the new brackets screwed to the wall.
On a new system the pipes and brackets are fitted when the new installation is being put in.

Flexible pipes provide the movement required when the valve moves during operation.

Claims (6)

1 A system of brackets and flexible pipes enabling a central heating radiator to be swivelled away from a wall without being disconnected from the central heating system.
2 A system as in claim 1 including two flexible pipes connecting the radiator to the central heating system.
3 A system as in claims 1 & 2 including two bottom wall brackets supporting the radiator.
4 A system as in claims 1, 2 & 3 including two locking top brackets and support chain.
5 A system as claimed in any previous claim which is made from metal, plastics material, or wood, or a combination of these materials.
6 A system allowing a central heating radiator to swivel away from the wall to enable cleaning and decorating substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
