Abstract

The person using the machine, will lay on the bench or bed or any other suitable flat surface. 1. The person will attach the ankle straps 3 to the legs above the ankles, which is attached, by ropes, through pulleys to the hand grips. 2. The arms will be placed through the harness/loops 2. 3. The person will then take hold of the hand grips in either hand. A gentle pull will create enough tension to ease the pressure on the knee, hips and back joints. <IMAGE>

Description

SELF TENSIONED. PERSONAL, PORTABLE, TRACTION MACHINE DESCRIPTION The frame is made from metal. There is a base frame which fits under a bed or bench. There is an upright bar, with an adjustable crucifix bar at either end of the frame.
Attached to the crucifix bar, at the foot end and at the head end are ropes or cables.
At the foot end, ankle straps are attached to the legs. At the other end of the rope are the hand grips.
At the top/head of the bed or bench. Ropes are attached to the crucifix bar. At the other end of the ropes are tied under arm loops/harnesses.

Claims (4)

  1. CLAIMS 1 The machine is portable by the removal of tno nuts and bolts.
  2. 2 The under arm harness/loops restrains the person from sliding down the bed or bench.
  3. 3 With the ankle straps attached to the patient/person ,he/she, when pulling the hand grips can exert as little or as much as they require, giving a completely selftension machine.
  4. 4 No assistance is required by the user,there fore it is a personal machine.
