Decorating is an arduous task for most people, it means getting out ladders, planks, chairs, stools etc; paint tins and trays and brushes all over. Their is a special type of decorating appliance that has most of the essentials built into one unit.
According to the present invention there is provided a decorating appliance comprising a solid base frame for standing on, at the front of this is attached the two telescopic legs for height adjustment. At the top of these legs is a removeable frame which carries the specially moulded paint tray. At the rear of the base frame are two more adjustable legs into which the rear wheels fit.
This appliance is collapsable for easy storage.
A special embodiment will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the appliance with the base at its lowest horizontal position and the front legs in vertical position.
Figure 2 shows the 90 rear telescopic legs swung round in second position and the front legs extended to bring the base back to the horizontal position, giving a higher standing position.
Figure 3 shows the rear telescopic legs fully extended and the front legs extended to bring the base back to the horizontal position.
Figure 4 Illustrates the decorating appliance in the folded position ready for storing.
Figure 5 Shows the appliance being used on a staircase, with the rear wheels removed and the front telescopic wheels positioned to bring the base back to a horizontal position.
Figure 6 shows the 900 rear telescopic legs into which the wheels can slot into A or B, depending on the height needed for the appliance.
Figure 7 shows how the carrying bracket slots into the top of the front legs and the moulded tray sits inside the carrying bracket.
Figure 8 Illustrates a table top with clips attached to slot into the carrying tray when not using the moulded tray.
Referring to the drawing the appliance comprises of a base frame 15, two front legs 17, which are secured together by a cross section at the top, also the lift and steer rail 12, and then bolted to the base frame at the bottom through hinge brackets.
Inside the front legs are adjustable legs 16, which are secured in position by locking pins 18. At the top of the front legs is a slot in carrying bracket 10, which can carry either the moulded tray 11, or the table top 22, at the rear of the base frame 15, are the rear wheels 13, and the 900 telescopic legs 14, the wheels 13, can be fitted into either A or B(as shown in Fig. 6) of the rear legs 14, the rear legs have a 900 movement and are locked into position by locking pins 19.
