Abstract

227,762. Binder, T. W. Sept. 8, 1924. Reservoir pads. - A moistener for envelopes, stamps &c. comprises a tubular water reservoir a, Fig. 2, and a sponge b which is tied in the middle by a rubber ring d tightly fitting the front end of the reservoir. The device is fitted with a piston c, preferably of rubber. In a modification, Fig. 3, for carrying like a fountain pen, the piston c is rotatably mounted in a cap e which screws on to the rear end of the reservoir. A nipple i is provided for limiting the withdrawal of the piston. A removable cap f for protecting the projecting part of the sponge when the moistener is not in use, and a ring g to secure the moistener, shown in Fig. 2, in position on a plane surface, are provided.
