Abstract

226,894. Crawford, A. E. B. Oct. 4, 1923. Spectacle lenses A, B are formed with extensions A<1>, B<1> on the sides nearer the nose to conforming an optical continuation of the lenses and stitute a bridge-piece, the extended portions assisting the vision when the line of sight is considerably inclined. In place of separate pieces the two lenses and the bridge-piece may be formed from a single lens, which lens is of a diameter greater than the width across both eyes. Alternatively, the two ocular portions A, B may be cut from one side of a lens similar to that used when the bridge-piece is in one with the lenses.
