Abstract

An umbrella cover construction in which the ribs are arranged non-radially at different intervals to stretch the cover cloth with the sides arranged to provide straight meshes. The warp and the waft of the cloth along the edges of the cover are arranged in parallel and perpendicular to the borderline of the cover itself. <IMAGE>

Description

UMBRELLA COVERS The present invention relates to umbrella covers.
It is now become a tendency in manufacturing high quality umbrella covers to simplify the tailoring process, minimize labor consumption, and provide an entirety of pattern printing on cover cloth. It-can be seen that the conventional cover, as shown in figure 5, is comprised of a plurality of gores (8) according to the number of umbrella ribs. The gores (8) are sewed up 'together to form a whole umbrella cover with a plurality of sutures (81) equal to the number of umbrella ribs.
Therefore, it can not be provided for printing thereon with the natural beauty.
Moreover, the manufacturing process of known covers is difficult, time-wasting and expensive.
Further, the known covers can seldom provide a perfectly curved surface when the umbrella cover is opened.
In seeking to integrate these drawbacks, the present invention provides an umbrella cover in which the entire cover or at least a main central part thereof has no radially extending stitch lines and the warp and the weft of the cloth extend parallel and perpendicular to the borderline of the cover or main central part.
The invention also provides an umbrella cover construction of non-axis connective line, which provides the umbrella ribs to be arranged at different intervals to stretch a cover cloth with the lateral sides of the cover cloth arranged to provide straight meshes, characterized in that a crevice is provided at the central point of the cover, and the warp and the weft of the cloth along the edges of the cover are arranged in the parallel and vertical direction relating to the borderline of the cover itself, which can be connected with the ribs of the umbrella by means of stitching the end of the edges of the cover with the end of the ribs without any axis line and leave form a perfectly curved and complete surface of umbrella.
The invention will now be more particularly described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is an illustrated structure of a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
FIG. 2 is a detailed view of the warp and the wet of the cover relating to the borderline of itself in accordance with the present invention.
FIG. 3 is an illustrated structure of another preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
FIG. 4 is an illustrated structure of a further preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
FIG. 5 is an illustrated structure of prior umbrella cover with gores and sutures thereon.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring to FIG. 1, it can be seen that the present invention comprises a main cover (1) with parallel and vertical warp and weft constructure, which is provided for installation of ribs of umbrella at unequal intervals. A crevice (2) is provided at the central point of the cover (1) for the top end of the umbrella frame to insert therein and leave the rear end of the ribs being respectively connected with the protruding points (11) of the edge of the umbrella cover by means of stitching. When the umbrella ribs are stretched, the umbrella cover (1) thus provides a natural stretch ability since the fabric constructure is arranged to provide twilled meshes against the radial lines. Therefore, the umbrella cover (1) forms a curved surther with the lateral sides of the umbrella cover (1) been arranged to provide straight meshes, and the curved surface of the umbrella cover (1) is perfectly stretched like a drum cover without any wrinkle wherein no any connecting stitching is required along the radial lines, and. the whole umbrella cover is capable of being printed with a full pattern thereon without any destroying the entirety of the beauty of the pattern printed.
Referring to another example of the present invention as shown in fissure 2, the umbrella' includes tewlve ribs. The umbrella cover (3) comprises a main cloth (4) sewed with four supplementary cover cloths (5) thereon. It can be seen that the borderline (6) of the umbrella cover (3) including the main cloth (4) and the supplementary covers (5) are arranged to provide straight meshes, which have provided the warp and the weft arranged in the parallel and vertical direction relating to the borderline (6) of the cover (3) Now referring to the-figures 3 and 4, it is to be understood that the two further preferred embodiments are ::capable of making use with other shapes of the umbrellas with different numbers of ribs or outlooks, wherein the umbrella cover in figure 3 has a zigzag periphery, and the cover in another which can be provided with sometriangle supplementary cloth (7) each sides respectively for obtaining a whole cover similar to the known prior cover (8) with a almost circular one.
It is the characterization of the present invention that the warp and the weft of the cloth along the egdes of the cover are arranged in the parallel and vertical direction relating to the borderline of the cover itself in order to form a perfectly curved surface without axis connective lines.
Rs various possible embodiments might be made of the above invention without departing from the scope of the invention, it is to be understood that all matter herein described or shown in the accompanying drawings is to be interpreted as illstrative and not in a limiting sense. Thus it will be appreciated that the drawings are exemplary of a preferred embodiment of the invention.
