Abstract

223,384. Reid, W., and Goodwin, J. A. Sept. 29, 1923. Current motors. - A current motor comprises a trough A fixed in a stream and several undershot water-wheels C, having forwardly bent blades C<1> mounted on crossshafts which are geared to a side shaft F. The trough is provided with divergent extensions B at the upstream end. Power may be taken off by means of a cross-shaft and belt pulley K<1>. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 120/15.
