Spring wheels with non-rotating resilient members between axle and hub comprise a conical bearing P axially slidable on the hub, against the action of a spring Q, an outer annular wheel member having a conical seat 1 for engaging the bearing, and plates L, M on the hub and wheel for holding the wheel in the plane of rotation. Fibrous facings are fitted between the plates and spaced annular packing rings retain lubricant and exclude dust. In a driving wheel, the torque is transmitted by a pin Z surrounded by a roller Z' and roller bearings Z<2>, a flange N on the hub being slotted to engage the roller Z<1>.
