Abstract

222,011. Danielsson, D., and Allmõnna Svenska Elektriska - Aktiebolaget. Dec. 29, 1923. Controllers, actuating; controllers with no-volt release.-An electric controller 2 for starting a motor is operated in steps against a spring 10 through a ratchet and pawl 3 by means of a. handle 5. The first step from the off-position shown connects in circuit a no-voltage coil 8 which brings a non-return pawl 6 into engagement with the ratchet teeth. Subsequent oscillations of the handle, providing the no-voltage coil remains active advance the controller over any required number of steps. Failure of voltage takes both the non-return pawl and the operating pawl out of engagement with the ratchet and allows the. spring 10 to return the controller to its original position. An excessive current in the motor circuit acts through a relay 18 to cut out the no-voltage coil.
