Nozzles; stators.-In a stage diaphragm, the guide passages are formed by a series of contacting milled blades and the joints between adjacent blades are rendered steam-tight by soldering or welding together the entering edges of the contacting surfaces, to form either a whole ring or a number of segments. The blades are fixed to the diaphragm by means of roots which enter a peripheral groove in the diaphragm.
