Abstract

219,201. Edwards, F. H., and Edwards, F. C. Sept, 3, 1923. Stationary batchmixers with rotary stirrers. - In a mixing appliance for paints &c., and of the kind comprising hinged mixing arms that can be folded during insertion into a container, the spindle 1 rotates within a, sleeve 11 designed to be held manually, and the arms 3, which are carried by collars 2 and 4, are so proportioned that the lower portions spread at right-angles to the spindle, while the upper portions form a small angle therewith. A removable capsule 9 may be provided for covering the mouth of the container, and the lower portions of the mixing arms may be adjustable in length. A stop 15 is provided against which the arms bear when collapsed.
