298,772. Vaughan, E. Oct. 20, 1927. Folding tables. - In a folding table of the kind with hinged legs 1 adapted to fold under a rigid top 3, a rigid arm or stay 4 is hinged at 7 to the legs 1, and is forced up by a spring 9 so as to engage automatically with a stop 10 under the table top. The stay 4 is of elongated U-shape, with a flattened end engaging at rightangles with a triangular-section stop 10 when the legs are extended, or engaging with a spring clip 11 when the legs are folded up.
