219,017. Johansson, J. P., and Eriksson, C.. G. July 13, 1923, [Convention date]. Vacuum cleaning-apparatus. - A vacuum cleaner having a power-driven fan is provided with a tubular handle open at one end to the fan casing and at the other end to the air. A cleaner with a casing 1 contains a filter bag 3, fan 4, and motor 5, and supports a handle 6, the free end of which is temporarily covered by a perforated cap 10. The lower end of the casing is fitted with a suction pipe 8 carrying a brush 9. The cap 10 may be replaced by a hose directed to raise the dust near the brush, or the cap may be interchanged with the pipe 8, and the apparatus used as an air-pressure, cleaner.
