Abstract
218,246. Swiss Locomotive & Machine Works. June 28, 1923, [Convention date]. Couplings, non-automatic.-The bogie C, Fig. 5, is connected to the intermediate bogie B by a Y-shaped connector 2 pivoted at 3 by horizontal pins and at 5 by a vertical pin passing through a ball-and-socket joint, and the bogie B is supported on slides on the rear axle casing of the bogie C by springs 7, Fig. 4, housed in sockets 6 in an overlapping bracket of the bogie B. In Fig. 1 the coupling is shown connected to a three-part underframe of a rack locomotive without adhesion engine, but it may be applied to a combined rack and adhesion locomotive.
