Carpet-pins; sockets for nails; wood-screws.-A carpetfixing or like device comprises a wood-screw a fixed in the floor or wall and having an axial hole a<4> into which a pin c is pressed after it has been passed through the carpet e. The screw a has the usual driving slot, and may be countersunk at the upper end of the hole a', partially to accommodate the pin-head. Specifications 815/92 ; 17182/10, [Class 44, Fastenings, Lock &c.], and 6955/11 are referred to.
