Abstract

216,570. Fairbrother, H. Feb. 27, 1923 Pumping-machines.-A compound pump for circulating the cooling water in an internal combustion engine and for pumping air which may be used for fuel purposes or for inflating tyres &c., comprises a rotary water pump 1, 2 and a reciprocating air pump 5, 6, the air pump being driven by an eccentric 4 on the shaft of the pump 2. In another form, two radial air pumps are operated by the eccentric.
