Pontoons.-A boat which collapses concertina fashion comprises rigid belts A spaced apart by hinged longitudinal members maintained in a distended position by springs, a flexible skin being distended over the frame. The boat is propelled, for example, by wind-power apparatus which drives a shaft mounted in a pipe B<1> and in gear with the propeller. A central pipe B is used for lighting the boat by acetylene and an aft pipe B<2> accommodates the steering rod. Two of the belts support rods to which the foldable keel members G, H are attached.
