Abstract
211,683. Davidson, T. Feb. 8, 1923. Electric killing - appliances. - An electricallyoperated device for destroying rats and like vermin, comprises a base-board with a series of positive and negative contact studs or bars and a covering board spaced apart therefrom. A baseboard B, having an unbroken surface, is provided with a series of studs G, alternate rows being connected respectively to a positive pole and a negative pole, which is earthed, the current being obtained for example from a public supply suitably reduced to about 100 volts. The connections are through two cut-outs E. F and a switch D on a covering board A spaced from the baseboard for example by pillars G. An aperture J is provided in the centre of the board A and a wire cage containing aniseed or the like is suspended therefrom. The wiring beneath the board B may he protected by a covering and a space round the periphery of the board is preferably left free of studs.
