Lighting by electricity.-The separable telescopic parts d, e of the casing of an electric generator, more particularly for the lighting sets of motor and other cycles, are secured together by studs b and a band c, which is clamped around the casing by the same screw which secures the casing to the supporting brake on the cycle &c. The parts d, e are formed with beads k, l to ensure the correct positioning of the parts when closed together and the correct positioning of the band c. The left-hand bearing n of the shaft h is carried by the part d, and when the parts d, e are separated the armature and magnet may be removed from the part e by unscrewing a screav g normally connecting to the shaft h a member f secured to the driving- wheel.
