Abstract

210,369. Katsumori, K. Aug. 13, 1923. Metal bodies, porous.-Porous iron is prepared' by subjecting an alloy of iron and carbon which may also contain manganese and phosphorus, heated to a temperature above which the eutectics melt, to mechanical treatment such as centrifugal force to separate out the eutectics. The porous iron so obtained is suitable for electrodes.
