Sashes balanced by springs.-Window sashes and like movable devices, particularly vehicle windows, are balanced by springs d anc a lever system f, h, g, and the lever e preferably provided with a roller, engages the lower edge of the window. The springs are arranged in any suitable way and secured to an adjustable piece d<2> and a movable piece d' pivoted to the lever f, which is mounted on a pivot c<1> carried by the two plates c. The levers e and g are fast on the pivot c<2>, and the lever e is outside the plates. It is stated that, by suitably choosing the relative positions of the pivots, the windows mav be balanced in al positions or overbalanced at certain positions Two or more of such devices may be used, Specification 179,555 is referred to.
