Abstract

208,848. Lucas, H. J., and Hurst, A. J. Oct. 19, 1922. Pulsating currents; converting into steady continuous currents. - Ripples are eliminated from the direct-current supply of a thermionic valve by connecting choke coils 30, wound on the same iron core 31, between the dynamo and the valve. Each lead is connected to a condenser 32, the opposite plates of which are earthed. On the other side of the choke coils, the leads are shielded by metallic brading which is earthed at 34, and a condenser 33 is connected across the leads.
