Abstract

167,097. Warner, H. J. Aug. 18, 1920. Converting pulsating currents into steady continuous currents.-In order to reduce voltage variations in the direct current supplied by a generator 1, 2 to a thermionicvalve amplifier or the like, choking-coils 5, 6, coupled together by an earthed iron core 7 are inserted in each lead of the supply circuit, and condensers 8, 9 are inserted across the leads in front of the choking-coils, a point between the condensers being earthed at 12. The directcurrent supply may be taken from the terminals of another condenser 10 connected to the coils 5, 6, the external leads from this condenser passing through a sheath 16 earthed at 17. The direct-current generator, choking-coils, and condensers are also enclosed in a case screened or lined with metal and provided with a metal shelf for the generator.
