Abstract

An aeration feeder for coal dust supply to the blast furnace hearth comprises an aeration chamber (1) provided with an air distribution grate (2) partitioning the chamber; an outlet tube (5) with a charging window (6) on the side surface of the end of that tube (5) which is located inside the chamber (1), and a closing regulating element (7) provided with a hollow rod (8), which enters telescopically the tube (5) and shuts intermittently the charging window (6). The closing regulating element is shaped as a sleeve provided with calibrated openings which are intermittently connected to the charging window (6) in the outlet tube (5).
