Abstract

A stove top comprises a base 4 and a top plate 5 on which there are disposed burner heads 7, a control panel 6, and optionally electric grills, the burner bodies 8 being between the plate 5 and the base 4. The front part of the body 8 of each burner has, a spaced box-like member 10 connected to a feed- pipe 11 through a gas valve 12 coupled to the box at the rear of the front part. Between the body inlet 9 and an injector 13 there is a member 14 for adjusting the air supply of the mixture. Each valve 12 is fixed independently to a venturi tube 20 through base plates 18 and a tightening screw 19, accessible, as in the case of the injector and the fixing of member 14, through the upper part of the top by way of the control panel 6. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Stoves The present invention refers to improvements in tops for stoves of the type consisting of gas and electricity or gas only which can be set into a table or a cabinet having a small thickness and which comprise a lower base and a top plate on which there are arranged the burner heads, a control panel and, option ally, electric grills, the burner bodies being placed between the base and the plate.
The improvements object of the instant in vention permit a minimal space to be occu .pied, which feature is very important in the present-day design of the stoves and above all they permit the replacing, fastening and other adjusting operations to be carrid out through the upper part of the top by means of the control panel.
In accordance with the invention, the front part of the body of each burner has, at a certain distance from the inlet, a box-like prolongation, which box is connected to the feedpipe through the gas valve coupled si deways and directly to the box, to the poster ior front part of which the injector is fixed, and there is provided between the inlet and the injector, through an adjustable fastening, an adjusting chute of the air of the mixture, while each valve is independently fixed to the pipe through base plates and a tightening screw, accessible, as in the case of the injec tor and the fixing of the chute, through the upper part of the top by means of the control panel.
In accordance with a feature of the inven tion, each burner body basically comprises two parts, one in the form of a pipe fixed to the base of the top and the other which constitutes the venturi tube whose prolonga tion forms the injector-holder box fixed to the feed pipe through the gas valve, there being disposed in some cases an intermediate lengthener pipe between both parts.
The top plate is dismountably fixed, in accordance with a characteristic of the inven tion, to the lower base through clamping screws in the burners which, in turn, secure -the pipe-shaped burner body to said lower base; this fastening being completed by screws disposed below the control panel.
For a better understanding of the character istics of the invention the accompanying draw ings represent, by way of illustration and not limiting, a preferred industrial embodiment.
Figure 1 is a plan view of a part of the top for stoves incorporating the improvements ob ject of the instant invention.
Figure 2 corresponds to the section 1-1 illustrated in Fig. 1.
Figure 3 illustrates a detailed view of the fastening of the top of the cabinet.
Figure 4 corresponds to the secton 2-2 illustrated in Fig. 1.
The top for stoves incorporating the improvements of the instant invention can be fitted into a cabinet 3 or the like, and comprises a lower base 4 and a top plate 5, as well as a control panel 6. From the top plate 5 there protrude the heads 7 of gas burners and optionally electric grills, the burner bodies themselves being disposed between the lower base 4 and the plate 5.
The front part of each body 8 has, at a certain distance from the inlet 9, a box-like prolongation 10.
Each box 10 is connected to the feedpipe 11 through the corresponding valve 1 2 which is coupled sideways and directly to the box 10 which has a parallelepiped shaped.
The injector 1 3 is fixed to the posterior front face of the box 10 and there is provided, between the inlet 9 and the injector 13, a chute 1 4 for adjusting the air of the mixture.
This chute 14 is fixed to the body 8 by means of the screw 15, and the fastening position of said chute 1 4 can be fixed through the groove 16.
Each one of the valves 1 2 is fixed independently to the pipe 11 through base plates 1 8 and a tightening screw 1 9.
The structure of the various element in such that both the replacement of the injector 1 3 and the fixing of the chute 14, as well as that of the valves 1 2 by means of the screws 1 5 take place through the upper part of the top by means of the control panel 6.
Each body 8 of the burner basically comprises two parts (see Fig. 2), one 1 7 in the form of a pipe fixed to the base 4 of the top and the other 20 constituting the venturi tube whose prolongation forms the injector-holder box 10.
The top plate 5 is dismountably fixed to the lower base 4 through clamping screws 21 in the burners which, in turn, secure the pipeshaped body 1 7 to said lower base 4, which fastening is terminated by screws 22 disposed below the control panel 6.
The top, according to known arrangements, has a flanging 23 which rests on the cabinet 3 and which can be immovably fixed (see Fig.
3) by the corresponding base plates 24 and screws 25.
In those cases (see Fig. 1) in which the burners are separated from the control panel 6, or in cases in which the distribution permits a minimal dimensioning, an intermediate body or pipe 26 is used between the pipeshaped body 1 7 and the venturi tube 20.
Having described the characteristics of the instant invention as well as its industrial realisation, it is clear that modifications in shape, materials and arrangement can be made in the structure and constitutive parts thereof, without departing from the scope of the invention inasmuch as such alterations do not substantially modify same.

Claims (3)

1. Improvements introduced in tops for stoves of the type which comprise a lower base and a top plate on which there are disposed the burner heads, a control panel and optionally electric grills, the burner bodies being disposed between the plate and the base, characterised in that the front part of the body of each burner has, at a certain distance from the inlet, a box-like prolongation, which box is connected to the feed-pipe through the gas valve coupled sideways and directly to the box 3t the posterior front part of which there is fixed the injector; and in that there is provided between the inlet and the injector, through an adjustable fastening, a chute for adjusting the air of the mixture, while each valve is fixed independently to the venturi tube through base plates and a tightening screw, accessible, as in the case of the injector and the fixing of the chute, through the upper part of the top by means of the control panel.

Improvements introduced in tops for stoves according to claim 1, characterised in that each burner body basically comprises two parts, one having the shape of a pipe fixed to the base of the top and the other which constitutes the venturi tube whose prolongation forms the injector-holder box fixed to the feedpipe through the gas valve, an intermediate lengthener pipe being arranged between both parts.
3. Improvements introduced in tops for stoves according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the top plate is dismountably fixed to the lower base through clamping screws in the burners which, in turn, secure the pipe-shaped burner body to said lower base, this fixing being completed by screws disposed below the control panel.
