Washing - boilers.- In a washing - boiler having a perforated basket B supported within a. vessel A, the lid C has a lip fitting into the top of the basket and having ports 5 to correspond with ports in the basket. The rim of the basket rests on a ledge 2 formed below the top of the shell A; the perforated base of the basket may be removable, and a steam-escape valve 7 may be provided.
